MIAMI (AP) - A new report ranks Florida as the nation's 36th healthiest state.
The report released Thursday by the United Health Foundation says Florida dropped three spots in the rankings compared to last year.
The report says Florida's strengths are little air pollutions, low rates of cardiovascular deaths and low rates of whooping cough. But Florida is challenged by high rates of children in poverty and residents without health insurance.
The United Health Foundation is a nonprofit offshoot of the insurer, UnitedHealth Group.
