ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - A St. Petersburg couple is suing a school and a student's parents, saying that they were forced to go to court after a student bullied their daughter and school officials couldn't keep her safe.
The Tampa Bay Times reports (http://bit.ly/2mG0fj8) Tracy and Jared Samon say the girl their daughter identified as the bully has gone unpunished for repeated assaults and taunting. They said the bullying began last school year when the two girls were in fifth grade.
They said their daughter's classmate at Lutheran Church of the Cross Day School would call her stupid and would taunt her if she didn't finish tests on time. Her daughter also said the girl slammed her finger in the locker.
Head of School Holly Carlson said in a statement there was no wrongdoing.
