DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Police say an emergency medical technician faces several charges after an argument with a co-worker led to a reckless ride through a suburban Atlanta neighborhood.
Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Deon Washington tells local news media that 22-year-old Kyle Lathon was arrested Wednesday. He is accused of choking then pulling a knife on his partner before speeding through a subdivision and knocking over several mailboxes.
Washington says the man was originally was driving the ambulance that belonged to private company Med Care EMS Transport. The man says he and Lathon worked for a Buford company and had been arguing all day.
Lathon is charged with hit and run-striking a fixed object, reckless conduct and criminal trespass.
Jail records show Lathon is out on a $9,100 bond.
