FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — A southwest Florida man who was arrested following an investigation involving a cold-case television show has been convicted of killing his wife.
Kultar Goraya was found guilty Tuesday of second-degree murder. He faces a possible life sentence at an Oct. 9 hearing.
Fort Myers police arrested Goraya in January, more than seven years after his wife, Rupinder, was reported missing by coworkers.
Officials say Goraya's arrest came after local detectives worked with a team from the TNT television show "Cold Justice." The News-Press (http://goo.gl/7NfhLE) reports that investigators from the show worked for weeks with detectives while filming.
Rupinder Goraya was reported missing in October 2007 and her body was never found. Months earlier, Kultar Goraya was arrested by Lee County deputies on a domestic violence charge.
