SANFORD, Fla. (AP) - A Florida judge ruled that a disbarred attorney who admitted to cheating clients out of $2.7 million also forged her husband's name.
Last week, 52-year-old Julie Kronhaus pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud and bank fraud.
The Orlando Sentinel reports Circuit Judge Jessica Recksiedler ruled that a mortgage deed and note were invalid because Julie Kronhaus forged the signature of her estranged husband, cardiologist Kenneth Kronhaus. The note and deed gave two of Julie Kronhaus' clients an interest in the couple's $900,000 home in a gated community.
John Bill, an attorney for the husband, says it looks like the case is over. Julie Kronhaus is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
Kenneth Kronhaus filed for divorce in December.
