MIAMI (AP) - Car accidents involving Florida police have left one man dead and another arrested.

The Miami Herald reports 71-year-old Ramon Bueno died after a Miami police car collided with his Honda Civic on Saturday, and 38-year-old Bradys Balcinde was arrested Sunday after a chase led a Miami-Dade police car crashing into two SUVs.

Miami-Dade police say the officer was assaulted before the pursuit and afterward went to a local hospital as a precaution.

It's unclear if Balcinde has a lawyer.

Miami police say an unnamed officer was responding to a priority call with lights and sirens on when they crashed into Bueno's car and an Audi. Bueno died of his injuries at the hospital. The Audi's driver was treated on-scene for an arm laceration. The officer was released after being hospitalized.
