COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Deputies in Columbia County are asking for the public's help in an unusual case of a missing 45-year-old man.
They said that Brian Lawrence Sharpe was last seen on January 10 around 4 p.m., at a pawn shop at 905 SW Main Blvd in Lake City. He has not been heard from since.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office noted that his disappearance is very unusual and uncharacteristic of him.
Deputies said that a search of his home revealed that all his belonging were in place. They said that personal items, like his toothbrush, were still left at his home, saying that clothes were left in the washer and dryer.
They also noted that there has been not activity on his social media.
Family members said that Sharpe had told them that his wallet and cellphone was stolen from him a week prior, but didn't tell them where it had happened.
His mother, who saw him last on January 9, said that Sharpe didn't mention any issues or problems when she spoke to him.
Sharpe is described as a white man, around 5'11, weighing about 190 pounds.
Deputies said that he was last seen driving a white 1997 Ford F-250 pickup truck, with a FL tag reading M979JT.
They are asking anyone who makes contact with him to check his welfare and contact the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at 386-719-2005.
