PERDIDO KEY, Fla. (AP) - The search is on in the Pensacola area for a 62-year-old boater who was reported missing by his family.
Family member told the U.S. Coast Guard that James Bradley Gunther left Gulf Shores, Alabama, in a 48-foot boat named Reliant, heading to Port St. Joe, Florida. He hasn't contacted his family since Saturday.
The boat was found anchored near Fort McRee, Florida, which is on the eastern end of Perdido Key. The Coast Guard says no one was on board and the small white dinghy that is normally with the vessel hasn't been located.
The Pensacola News Journal (http://on.pnj.com/1UZzO7o ) reports a number of agencies are searching for Gunther.
