GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A driver has been charged after crashing into a Gadsden County school bus Tuesday afternoon.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Cameron Marlowe, 35, of Quincy has been charged with failure to use due care.

According to FHP, Marlowe was driving south on Selman Road around 3:50 p.m. when he crashed into the back of a Gadsden County school bus that was stopped in the southbound lane.

Troopers say the bus was stopped at a bus stop at the time of the accident.

The driver told troopers that he was coming around the curve and started braking for the bus when his foot slipped off the brake pedal.

He said he tried to steer away from the bus to avoid the crash, but ended up hitting the rear of it, causing minor damages.

Troopers say nine minors were on the bus at the time and were picked up by parents before FHP arrived.

No injuries were reported.
