ROSWELL, Ga. (AP) - Police in an Atlanta suburb say a teen killed last week was shot by mistake, and his older brother and another man have been arrested.
News outlets quote Roswell police as saying Jordan Chappell Williams and Jahmal Christopher Samuel were trying to kill a man who they believed had robbed someone they knew.
Police said in a news release Tuesday that Samuel shot and killed 17-year-old Kobe Williams, but Jordan Williams was also there, and the gun was found in his possession.
Both men face charges of murder, participation in criminal street gang activity, theft by receiving stolen property and threatening someone with injury or damage in connection with a street gang member.
Authorities say they have a Feb. 23 court date.
It was not clear whether either has an attorney who could comment.
