Body of Missing Northwest Georgia Woman Found

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation the body of a northwest Georgia woman who has been missing has been found.

GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles said Thursday the medical examiner identified the remains as Heather McDonald. She had been missing from Cartersville, Georgia, since mid-September.

The GBI Medical Examiner's Office will perform the autopsy to determine the cause of death.

U.S. Marshal Service spokesman Jim Joyner tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/2esNVC0 ) that Richard Dale Harden was a person of interest in the disappearance of McDonald. Joyner says Harden was arrested on a warrant for sex offender registry violation.
