LEESBURG, Ga. (AP) - Authorities are working to identify a body found on a hunting plantation in southwest Georgia.
WALB-TV reports an employee of Chokee Plantation in Lee County discovered the body Tuesday morning in a holding pond. The pond is located near the home of an 88-year-old woman missing since Christmas Eve.
Lee County officials say Florida Mae Price, who suffers from dementia, hasn't been seen since she wandered away from home Thursday.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation medical examiners planned an autopsy to confirm the identity of the body.
