ATLANTA, GA. (AP) - Atlanta police are investigating after two people were found shot in a vehicle on Interstate 85 near the city's airport.
Officer Donald Hannah confirmed that a man was shot in the head and died along I-85 northbound Wednesday morning. A woman in the vehicle had also been shot in the head and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Local news media report several lanes of the busy interstate were closed about 2 miles north of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The identity of the two people who were shot was not immediately released. No arrests have been announced.
