...WIND ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 8 PM CST THIS EVENING...

The remainder of the Wind Advisory that was in effect for portions

of southern middle Tennessee into northeast Alabama will be

allowed to expire this Thursday evening. Although some brief gusty

winds around 40 MPH along and just ahead of an approaching cold

front remain possible with a passing line of showers, the threat

for prolonged high winds and gusts has now ended.

MARSHALL...SOUTHEASTERN MADISON AND EASTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES UNTIL

845 PM CST...

At 758 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a broken line of heavy

showers and a few embedded thunderstorms along a line extending from

6 miles north of Sewanee to near Owens Cross Roads. Movement of this

line was to the east at 30 mph.

Wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph will be possible with these showers and

storms.

Locations impacted include...

Scottsboro, Winchester, Bridgeport, Decherd, Stevenson, Cowan, Owens

Cross Roads, Hollywood, Powell and Grant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Strong gusty winds will be capable of knocking down small tree limbs

along with other small unsecured items. Seek safe shelter until this

line of showers and storms has passed.

Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these showers and storms,

and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle

through flooded roadways.
