207 PM CST WED FEB 20 2019

...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM CST FOR CENTRAL

LAUDERDALE AND COLBERT COUNTIES...

At 153 PM CST, reporting gauges indicated moderate flooding on Bear

Creek in far western Colbert Creek. Little to no additional rainfall

is expected for the remainder of today, but further rises on the

creek are possible as water continues to drain in the creek basin.

Otherwise, flooding reports have been received in other areas of

Lauderdale and Colbert Counties, particularly in the Florence area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...

Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Killen, Cherokee,

Littleville, Lexington, St. Florian and Underwood-Petersville.

Flood waters are moving down Bear Creek from Bishop to Allsboro. The

river is expected to crest tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All

interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
