...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Alabama...

Paint Rock River NEAR Woodville affecting Jackson...Madison and

Marshall Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to

recognize flood dangers. If while driving you see water over a road,

turn around, don't drown! The water depth may be too great to allow

your vehicle to cross. Additional information is available at

http://water.weather.gov. Once there, click on the Tennessee Valley

to view local river information.

The Flood Warning continues for

the Paint Rock River NEAR Woodville.

* until late Saturday night.

* At 8 PM Wednesday the stage was 16.9 feet and rising.

* Flood Stage is 15.0 feet.

* Minor Flooding is occurring and Minor Flooding is forecast.

* Recent activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at

7 PM Wednesday was 16.9 feet.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.0 feet by

tomorrow morning. The river will fall below Flood Stage late

Saturday evening.

* Impact...At 19.0 feet...Water is covering Alabama State Route 65

about two miles north of U.S. Highway 72. Several County Roads in

Paint Rock Valley are flooded...including Jackson County Road 20.

* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.7 feet

on Dec 29 2018.

the Flint River at Brownsboro.

* At 7 PM Wednesday the stage was 20.3 feet and falling.

* Flood Stage is 17.0 feet.

* Moderate Flooding is occurring and Moderate Flooding is forecast.

* Recent activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at

7 PM Wednesday was 20.6 feet.

* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below Flood Stage by

early Saturday evening.

* Impact...At 20.0 feet...Backwater on a nearby tributary added to

floodwaters from the Flint River both reach a small bridge on

Brownsboro Road.

* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.7 feet

on Mar 1 2018.

the Big Nance Creek AT Courtland.

* until Saturday morning.

* At 7 PM Wednesday the stage was 18.0 feet and rising.

* Flood Stage is 14.0 feet.

* Moderate Flooding is occurring and Moderate Flooding is forecast.

* Recent activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at

7 PM Wednesday was 18.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.9 feet by

tomorrow morning. The river will fall below Flood Stage early

Saturday morning.

* Impact...At 20.0 feet...Water is approaching homes south of downtown

Courtland...with several streets impassible. Water reaches the

underside of the bridge at Old Highway 20 in Courtland.

* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.0 feet

on Apr 24 2018.
