1242 PM CST WED FEB 20 2019

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Flood Warning for...

Northeastern Madison County in north central Alabama...

South central Moore County in Middle Tennessee...

Southeastern Lincoln County in Middle Tennessee...

* Until 630 PM CST.

* At 1235 PM CST, local law enforcement reported flooding in

northeastern portions of Madison County, particularly around the

Hazel Green and Meridianville areas. Flooding was also occcuring

along the Flint River in eastern Madison County. Reports of

flooding have also been received from Lincoln County in Tennesse,

around the Fayetteville area. Around one inch of rain has fallen

this morning and early afternoon, but this has occurred on top of

very wet soils and the heavy rainfall that occurred yesterday.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

Northern Huntsville, Fayetteville, Moores Mill, Meridianville,

Hazel Green, Alabama A And M University, New Market, Lincoln,

Mulberry and Maysville.

Additional rainfall amounts of one inch are possible in portions of

Madison and Lincoln Counties through the afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles. Also, the road bed may be washed out under

the water, and you could be stranded or trapped.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All

interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
