...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM CST FOR CENTRAL
LAUDERDALE AND COLBERT COUNTIES...
At 153 PM CST, reporting gauges indicated moderate flooding on Bear
Creek in far western Colbert County. Little to no additional
rainfall is expected for the remainder of today, but further rises
on Bear Creek are possible as water continues to drain into the
creek basin. Otherwise, flooding reports have been received in other
areas of Lauderdale and Colbert Counties, particularly in the
Florence area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Killen, Cherokee,
Littleville, Lexington, St. Florian and Underwood-Petersville.
Flood waters are moving down Bear Creek from Bishop to Allsboro. The
river is expected to crest tonight.
