and Dam...
.Rises continue on the Tombigbee River at Bevill Lock and Dam...
and a flood warning remains in effect there.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Turn Around...Don't Drown.
Another statement will be issued by Thursday morning...or sooner if
conditions warrant.
The Flood Warning continues for
The Tombigbee River At Bevill Lock and Dam.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 12:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 125.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 122 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 132.3 feet by
Friday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...At 135 feet...Widespread flooding of farm and
pasturelands...as well as cabins and camps near the
river...occurs. Flooding of some homes in the Rivermont
Subdivision of Pickensville also occurs at this stage.
At 128 feet...Cattle in the area should be moved to
higher ground. Flooding of some cabins and camps along the river
can be expected.
