...The flood warning continues for the Cahaba River Near Cahaba

Heights...

.Recent rainfall, and additional rain over the next several days,

will produce rises on the Cahaba River. A Flood Warning remains in

effect for the Cahaba River near Cahaba Heights.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Turn Around...Don't Drown.

Another statement will be issued by Wednesday morning...or sooner if

conditions warrant.

The Flood Warning continues for

The Cahaba River Near Cahaba Heights.

* from Thursday morning to Friday morning...or until the Warning is

cancelled.

* AT 6:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 3.1 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late Thursday morning and

continue to rise to near 14.6 feet by Thursday evening. The river

will fall below flood stage by Thursday evening.

* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Minor flooding occurs in the Cahaba Heights

area.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EASTERN JACKSON AND NORTHEASTERN

DEKALB COUNTIES UNTIL 815 PM CST...

At 733 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along

a line extending from near Stevenson to near Pisgah to Section.

Movement was east at 65 mph.

Dime to Penny size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible

with these storms.

Locations impacted include...

Scottsboro, Bridgeport, Henagar, Stevenson, Hollywood, Section, Ider,

Pisgah, Dutton and Martintown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

Lightning can strike several miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a

safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
