SOUTHEASTERN SUMTER COUNTIES UNTIL 115 PM CST...
At 1238 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Kinterbish, or 13 miles southeast of Cuba, moving northeast at 50
mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Jefferson, Coatopa, Dug Hill, Kinterbish, U.S. 80 and AL 28, Bellamy,
Ward, Whitfield, Lilita and Demopolis Municipal Airport.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
