TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The tropics are beginning to heat back up again with a couple areas of interest in the Atlantic. First, an elongated area of low pressure off the Florida & Georgia coast has a 10% chance of formation through the weekend, but is quite weak and rather unorganized. This is unlikely to form into a tropical system, but it's definitely an area of interest considering how close it is to the United States coast.

Meanwhile, thousands of miles away west of the African coast, a low pressure system has a 30% chance of forming through the weekend. It's still feeding a lot of dry air into the system, but as it moves westward, less dry air will filter into it.

Stay tuned this afternoon for further updates.
