We start Thursday with the pitter patter of rain drops across the area; umbrellas and wipers will be busy through lunch. The rain will taper by the evening drive while remaining mostly cloudy. This won’t be a drought buster but it will keep you puddle jumping all day; rain totals will be near ½”. Meanwhile, temperatures won’t get out of the 50s as a steady north wind keeps the cool air machine on. Tonight, clouds break away slowly but surely allowing lows to fall into the low 40s at the coast, mid and upper 30s inland. A light freeze isn’t out of the question north of Thomasville; skies will be a bit clearer letting temperatures flirt with 32°. Friday and Saturday look mostly dry and seasonable with highs near 60° and lows in the upper 30s. Sunday, another wave of low pressure approaches bringing scattered showers and isolated thunder. It’s a quick moving system that moves eastbound by Monday giving us a pleasant start to the next work week.

Be safe and have a great Thursday!
