TALLAHASSEE, FL ( WTXL) -- A stationary front is currently draped just to our southeast, and is expected to break apart through the rest of today. This won't effect the area too much, but we will continue seeing a very moist atmosphere. This means that skies will stay fairly cloudy with a chance of afternoon showers. In addition, we've got a high pressure sitting to our north. Over the next several days, this high pressure will move into the Atlantic Ocean, giving us more easterly winds.

Today, highs top off in the upper 80s with a light east wind. There won't be too much sunshine expected for the day as mostly cloudy conditions will persist over the region. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible with the highest chance of rain peaking in the afternoon, much like we saw yesterday.

Tonight, rain chances drop to about 30 percent under mostly cloudy skies. Overnight lows fall to the lower 70s, making tonight feel pretty seasonal.
