Pockets of rain and thunder are present across many central and eastern counties in the viewing area. Areas of heavier rain will soak a few more neighborhoods through the mid-evening period. Occasional lightning and thunder are also being produced, but will likely diminish later tonight. We'll still have to deal with extra cloudiness and periodic showers and storms through most of Thursday, primarily during the late-morning through afternoon time frame. As a result, morning temperatures will remain way above average, bottoming out in the upper 60s to around 70°. Highs will get back to around 80° is breaks of sun emerge. There's no major end to the unsettled pattern through the weekend, though rain coverage amounts will fluctuate up and down depending on specific weather features and factors each day.
