MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- We'll see an above average trend in temperatures once again after a brief cool-down on Monday. More sun and warmer winds will allow 80s to return to the forecast, with a couple of cold fronts that could influence rain coverage through the weekend.

Tuesday: The work week continues with a chilly morning start (morning lows in the lower 50s). With a dry west wind, more sunshine is anticipated today with warmer temperatures in the afternoons (highs are forecast to be in the lower to mid 80s).

Beach and Boating forecast information is below, as well as a look at your Tuesday Tide Times:

Wednesday: High pressure will be in control. Mornings may still be a bit cool on Wednesday, with lows in the upper 50s. More afternoon heat is expected with highs climbing to the middle 80s. Rain is not expected, though skies will start to feature more clouds.

Thursday and Friday: Temperatures will be even warmer with a persistent south wind that will keep lows in the 60s and raise highs to the upper 80s. An approaching cold front will enhance more cloud cover and increase the storm threat by Thursday (coverage around 30%) afternoon and evening. At this point, while low, there is a chance for a severe storm or two as the front drives east.

Saturday and Sunday: Hot conditions will be the main story for the weekend. This is due to a very warm air mass getting in place ahead of a strong cold front. Morning lows will likely stay in the middle to upper 60s with highs near or above 90°. On Sunday, a few showers/storms may form, though coverage is low (20%).

Monday: The strong cold front will push into the local area on Monday. Storms are expected to increase across the region to start next week. Specific details are lacking at this time, but with an increase in clouds and rain, temperatures are not forecast to be as hot as the weekend.
