MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A cold front in the Southeast is providing extra support for scattered showers and storms to grow further late today, leading to higher chances for hail- and gust-producing storms that may have adverse local impacts.  A slight severe weather risk exists generally along and north of Interstate 10 for these occasionally stronger but generally spotty storms that will move to the east-northeast through the mid-evening time frame.  Not everyone will experience severe storms, but rain chances will remain elevated through the early morning as the severe potential wanes.  Some leftover clouds are likely, especially before midday Wednesday.  Lows will reach the mid 60s, and highs tomorrow will likely top out in the low to mid 80s.  A second, drier cold front will pass on Thursday and hold temperatures back from rising way above average.  In fact, chilly readings in the 50s and possibly the 40s inland are forecast for the end of the week.
