MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Widespread heavy rain impacting the interior Panhandle and the Chattahoochee River basin will slowly shift eastward this evening, but the general thought is that the band of downpours and storms will weaken through the course of the evening.  On the opposite side of the region, the southeast flow is forcing a weak boundary from the Atlantic into the Suwannee River region, where some early evening showers and storms may flourish before dying down late tonight.  With all the moisture in place, rainfall totals may reach one inch is the more persistent areas of rain, with isolated higher amounts possible.  Severe weather chances are low.  Minimum temps will only fall to the lower 70s with leftover clouds Wednesday morning.  Cloudiness through the daytime may slow the warming, with forecast highs in the mid 80s to near 90° and higher rain coverage again possible in the western half of the viewing area.  Locations along I-75 may encounter more-scattered showers and storms.
