MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The early presence of cloudiness has slowed the thunderstorm cycle this afternoon, so fewer disturbed spots are forecast for the early phase of the evening. However, with the nearby stationary front criss-crossing the region, additional spots of rain and thunder are possible through the late-night hours. Overall strong thunderstorm chances are quite low, but a couple of storms producing frequent lightning and heavy rain are possible, particularly in interior south Georgia, late tonight through early Wednesday morning. Leftover clouds and moisture will linger by sunrise with lows in the mid 60s to around 70°. A partly sunny sky is likely Wednesday with scattered showers and storms focusing on the eastern half of the viewing region, with less action along the Apalachicola/Chattahoochee rivers. Highs will range from the mid 80s to low 90s. A general reduction in rain coverage is forecast by week's end.
