Limited shower action has developed from the significant heat buildup around the region. Locally heavy rain and a slight chance for a briefly strong storm exist through the mid-evening, with individual showers and storms moving mainly to the west. Otherwise, it will remain remarkably warm through the early morning hours. Lows will fall to the low to mid 70s, and the air will stay moisture-laden. That will lead to a hot morning and afternoon highs that will crack into the higher end of the 90s away from the coast, and before any seabreeze or late showers form. Rain coverage tomorrow should not exceed 20% of the region. The heat-wave high will shift a bit over the next several days, but elements of it will still greatly influence the weather pattern and keep temperatures above average.
