MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Earlier heavy thunderstorms have shifted toward the Atlantic, and future local evening showers will be fewer and farther between.  A couple of nighttime showers may form in south Georgia, moving to the east, and a couple more spots of downpours and thunder are possible in the northern NatureCoast region and the lower Suwannee valley.  Otherwise, broken cloudiness will dominate, then partial clearing for some early in the morning, as lows fall to the lower 70s.  Friday, we lose the influence of the original upper disturbance, but smaller waves of action will move into the Southeast helping to spark additional scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Activity will exhibit a west-to-east movement in general, with highs breaking into the lower 90s in many spots.  Scattered to numerous showers and storms will be features throughout the upcoming weekend.  There are no tropical threats forthcoming.
