MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The weather pattern will remain tranquil for Sunday as drier winds from the north filter through, due to both low pressure off the east coast of the U.S. and high pressure in the Gulf guiding winds from that direction. The winds from the north aren't coming from a cold air mass, so therefore, lows across the area will be in the mid 60s with upper 60s for coastal areas. The drier and calmer winds translate to a hot afternoon for Sunday with highs likely reaching the mid 90s across North Florida and South Georgia. The Big Bend coast will likely see temps a tad bit cooler with highs reaching the lower 90s. Rain coverage will be near zero for Sunday as the forcing for clouds and storms moves away with that same low that gave us more clouds earlier during the week.

Monday is the day that marks the transition to more clouds and some showers as a front from the northwest pushes closer. High pressure in the Gulf should keep the front from passing through until Tuesday. Monday afternoon will likely see slightly more clouds with lows in the upper 60s, highs in the lower 90s, and rain coverage only around 20%. Tuesday, during the front's likely passage, rain coverage jumps slightly (30%) but the increase in clouds should help keep our highs in the mid to upper 80s.
