MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Mild conditions are returning, even if the process is slow. High pressure's influence will continue to weaken as it pushes east further into the Atlantic. We'll see an increase in cloudiness for our Sunday as low pressure over the western Gulf of Mexico slowly organizes and move toward our region. Highs will be in the lower to mid 60s with lows in the lower 40s for Sunday morning. Winds will still be out of the northeast so highs will be limited to near seasonal values but in the upper levels of the atmosphere, we'll see an increase in moisture from the Gulf and that is where the cloudiness will come into play. Those clouds are a signal of the moisture content increasing, so a stray shower or so will be possible, though the core of the low will still be too far from the Big Bend and South Georgia to produce a larger coverage of rain. That won't happen until Monday with a 50% coverage for the region. High temperatures will be rather mild in the upper 60s with some spots flirting with 70 degrees. Lows will be warmer, near 50. Afterwards, a frontal boundary will stay somewhat stalled over the region keeping the cloudiness in play with a small chance of rain through the work week. Another trough will dig in late week to push in some more rain for Thursday and cool us off just in time for next weekend.
