TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Drastic changes are coming to the weather pattern.  The last several days, we were steaming hot with late day strong storms.  This week, Cristobal well off the east coast is absorbing a lot of the moisture and allowing a cooler, drier air mass to re-enter the region.  Temps today will still get above average under a hot late August sun, but because the moisture will be lower, the atmosphere should be a little more stable and more comfortable.  So rain will remain limited to a few eastern counties and that's about it.  Highs bumping up into the mid 90s.  Because we're slightly drier, temps tonight should be able to fall down into the low 70s.  Much of the same is expected through late in the work week with highs in the mid 90s and very spotty rain chances expected.  By the weekend, Cristobal has moved well away to the northeast and high pressure builds back in off the east coast allowing winds to go clockwise around that system ushering in a flow from the Gulf pumping back in moisture, but still keeping the heat at bay.  More typical rain chances are expected Friday through Sunday.
