Clouds and a few passing non-severe showers are possible late tonight into early Tuesday morning as a cold front approaches. The front will finally dislodge the unsettled pattern ... at least for a day ... as higher pressure and stable air move into the tri-state region. However, the overall pattern is rather progressive, meaning these various features will come and go in fairly rapid fashion. More sunshine will be present on Tuesday regardless, with lows starting off around 60° and highs rising to a mild 80° or so with lower moisture levels. Wednesday morning could be even cooler, but west winds will trigger a big warm-up into the 80s. A disturbance arrives by Thursday producing the next best chance for showers and thunderstorms.
