TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Much of the same in the forecast. Temps this morning slightly warmer than in past days in the low 60s. By the afternoon, mid to upper 80s are expected again with a rogue shower possible for our Suwannee Valley folks. As the high pressure scoots east, winds turn clockwise around the system allowing for a sea breeze to kick in and possibly fire off a few of those very isolated showers. We hold onto this pattern through the end of the work week with warm temps in the mid to upper 80s during the afternoon and lows bottoming out in the low 60s. A tropical wave is also churning near the Bahamas, but this will likely have limited to no impact on our local forecast. It'll move up the Atlantic coastline and meander a bit before fizzling away. It could throw a few clouds our way and may aid in a couple isolated showers (again, out east) but nothing widespread is expected. For Mother's Day weekend, conditions get even hotter as a dome of high pressure sets up allowing the air to go still and for the land to quickly warm Highs will flirt with 90° through the start of next work week.
