TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - It'sa new year, but the same question remains...what's going on under the helmet of Jameis Winston? Multiple run-ins with the law are in the past, but problems continue to come up.
Obsenity on campus...continued sexual assault investigation...autographs for sale. Is the underlying problem winston himself? Ifso, one question looms quite large. Does Jameis need to change?
During preseason media days Jameis responded to that question saying "No. I just have to realize everything I do will be under a microscope, and I gotta make sure I do the right thing."
FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher agrees, to an extent, saying, "He's gotta be me in the context that he needs to be me. Be smarter about the decisions and the things he says and does."
Winston is a champion on the football field, but he is still working on that title for decisions made under the helmet.
