THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - Four years ago, Thomas University had no men's basketball team. Fast forward to 2015, and the Night Hawks are gearing up for their third season, and doing so by welcoming in a new head coach.

Last month, TU announced Brent Crews would be taking over the reins of the Night Hawk program, his first head coaching job after serving as an assistant at the University of San Francisco for three seasons.

Before getting to work with his athletes, Crews working with some potential future Night Hawks at his week long camp.

He said he's started to review film and get ready for the upcoming season, and the reality of his first gig? It'll hit, eventually.

"I still can't believe it!" he laughed. "It'll hit the first game. The first game I'll be very nervous, probably in the back wiping my mouth and sweating and stuff. So if you see a towel beside me and a water you'll know, okay, it hit him. It's finally hit. Once the water goes in the garbage, okay he's good now, he's settled. It might take a year, it might take two, but one day I'll be settled in."

Since Crews landed in Thomasville, he said he's already looked to sign four recruits for this season.
