FORT MYERS, Fl. (WTXL) - It didn't take long for Madison County to get on the board in Friday's 1A State Semifinal game against Trenton. It did take a long time to finish the game however.
Over seven hours of rain delays meant a nine hour ball game for the Cowboys, but they held strong to punch their ticket to Saturday's 1A State Championship game.
The Cowboys took a 3-0 in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back, beating the defending State Champion Trenton Tigers 4-2.
