TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Maclay Maruader volleyball team beat two top ten teams to make it to Tuesday night's Class 3A Region 1 Final. To get to the State Semifinals, they would have to beat the number one team in the State, and a top ten program nationally, in PK Yonge.

The Blue Wave of PK Yonge took the first set 25-11 over Maclay, but it was a different story in the second set. The Marauders fought back to lock things at 24 on a Jewel Strawberry kill. The set went back and forth until PK won 29-27 on a block.

The Blue Wave cruised in the third set to claim the match and advance to the 3A State Semifinals.

The Leon Lions were on the road at Creekside Tuesday night, but the home team Knights were no match for the Lions, who cruised to a three set win to advance to their first State Semifinals since 2011. The Lions will host Tampa Plant on Saturday at 2:00.

Class 1A returns to the court on Saturday for the 1A State Semifinals. Both Sneads and Layette are at home, and play at 2:00/ET.
