Gainesville, FL: Today, the Tallahassee Lincoln High School Boys 4x800m relay made history as they became the fastest team in the nation with a time of 7:47:23 in the Pepsi Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida Gainesville and surpassed the former #1 by 4 seconds.
This team has 4 overall athletes capable of running under a 1:55 split and the potential to run a sub 7:42. “We’ve had good programs in our area, but Tallahassee has never had a national team or a competitive 4x800 team until now,” notes Head Coach Corey Poole.
The Tallahassee Lincoln High School Boys 4x800m relay is led by head coach, Corey Poole, and assistant coach, Chris Sumner.
