TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Tuesday was a happy day at Lincoln High, as six student athletes celebrated college signings.
Shelby Sloan will play softball at Pensacola State next year, while baseball players Nick Ferrara and Shawn Snyder inked with Northwest Florida State and Lake Sumter respectively.
Three Trojan volleyball players signed, with Amber Grant headed to Gulf Coast, Daelynn Shoaf to North Florida, and Loren Scott off to Florida State.
"This opportunity to be able to stay in Tallahassee and stay local, it's be great to have support from my family that I've grown up around and the community I've grown up around," she said of her decision to wear garnet and gold.
"It's a dream that so many of our athletes here at school," added Lincoln Athletic Director Joe Vallese. "The fact they get to share their two minutes of fame, and why they're going there and their excitement, and why they're going there, it's probably my favorite part of my job."
