The intensity of #GTCAMP13 did not drop as the team faced its first double session on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets have one more two-a-day, with that scheduled for next Tuesday. There was plenty of hitting in the morning practice at Rose Bowl Field as defensive coordinator Ted Roof had his troops flying around the field on the second practice in full pads.

Redshirt freshman safety Lynn Griffin made his presence felt more than once as the defense controlled the team period in the morning session. Coach Johnson was happy with the results, even with Tuesday being the team's third practice in little more than 36 hours. Tech was in shells for an 18-period workout on Tuesday night in humid and rainy weather.

"The defense flew around," said head coach Paul Johnson. "They had a good day. They got after the offense pretty good this morning. You've just got to push through it. Every day you've got go out and get better at something. And if you don't go out there with the right attitude and right enthusiasm, you don't get much out of it."

Coach Johnson was also busy on Twitter Tuesday, sending out an exclusive invitation to Tech season ticket holders and football players' families to attend Saturday morning’s scrimmage at Bobby Dodd Stadium. (@GTPaulJohnson: Looking forward to having all our season ticket holders here Saturday for an exclusive scrimmage for parents and season ticket holders only!")
