Garrett Jahn Announced As Leon's Head Football Coach

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon Principal Billy Epting and Athletic Director Mark Feely announce the hiring of Garrett Jahn as their new head football coach. Two weeks after the resignation of Tim Cokely, the Lions have a new coach who will transfer from Chiles to Leon as the Lions new coach. His transfer from Chiles to Leon, is effective immediately.

Coach Jahn is an alumni of Leon High School, where his senior season he was named to the USA Today honorable mention All-American football team in 1999. A quarterback, Jahn played his college football for Coach Howard Schnellenberger at Florida Atlantic University. Jahn, 34 is in the Leon Football Hall of Fame as well as the FAU Hall of Fame.

"I was lucky enough to be on the staff in 1999 with Garrett so I know him to be an excellent leader," said Leon Athletic Director Mark Feely. "He will be a wonderful addition to our staff. He has a reputation as a builder of young men and has demonstrated his ability to turn programs around."
