HOMERVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - The Clinch County Panthers are looking for State title number seven in program history, and their second in a row.

To get there, they'll have to get by a good McIntosh County Academy team, a team the Panthers have already beaten once this season. That isn't too comforting to head coach Jim Dickerson, as he notes McIntosh is fired up and ready to avenge their loss, while it seems his guys may be a little too calm.

"Nobody remembers who was in the final four, you may remember who was in the finals, and you may remember who wins it," said Dickerson, who is confident his team will be ready to go come Friday. "Right now, we really haven't done a whole lot. If we're going to make this special, if you play in December, you're a team to remember. We're already playing in December, we want to be playing in mid December."

Clinch County hosts the A State Semifinal match-up with the Buccaneers Friday. Kickoff is at 7:30 in Homerville.
