COLQUITT COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Troopers said that 16-year-old was killed when his car hit a semi-truck carrying a mobile home.
Georgia State Patrol said Charles Harrod Jr. of Norman Park died after the crash on Highway 37 Tuesday morning. They said they were called out to the crash around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Baldy Road.
According to troopers, Harrod was driving westbound when he crossed over the center line dividing the lanes and hit a semi-truck traveling in the opposite direction. They also said the semi was carrying a mobile home at the time of the crash.
Troopers said the teen's car spun and stopped in the north ditch of the road. They said that the driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
