OCHLOCKONEE, FL (WTXL) - Ochlockonee is just one of many communities that make up the total 700 square miles of Leon county.

Located in the western region, the community includes several neighborhoods, as well the Talquin State Forest Park. Many say the gem of the area is it's waterways.

Ochlockonee is also bordered on the north and south by Lake Talquin, and park staff are responsible for maintaining much of the area.

Park staff say they make only necessary changes to the area, in order to keep its history intact.

The Ochnolocknee River serves as the county line between Leon and Gadsden county. It's starts up in Georgia and makes its way down to the Gulf of Mexico.

Park staff say that visitors are attracted to Ochlockonee, because of how natural the area still remains.
