TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- One person is dead and another behind bars after two cars collide early Saturday morning.

Andrea Bishop was pronounced dead on the scene. Saturday was her 19th birthday.

Tallahassee police say it happened on the 2100 block of W. Tennessee St. around 12:30 a.m. The two cars, a Kia Optima and Toyota Tacoma, were driving in the same direction when the Kia ran into the Toyota. The Kia, which had five passengers inside, then flipped over. Two of the passengers, 20-year-old Kaitlyn Connell and 20-year-old Daniela Llovera were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. Bishop was also a passenger in the Kia and was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

Police say the driver of the Kia, 23-year-old Randie Samuel, Jr., left the scene before police arrived, but came back a couple hours later. He was arrested and is charged with hit and run. Officers say another passenger, 20-year-old Vincent Severance, also left the scene and came back, but was not charged.
