WAKULLA COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - A Facebook picture is at the center of a controversy in Wakulla County, after a commissioner posted it online. Now, it's leading to death threats for one radio host who's running for county sheriff, after he made some comments about it.

Wakulla County commissioner Ralph Thomas posted the photo, showing a Muslim group praying at Mashes Sands, saying he had never seen anything like that in Wakulla County.

But it's not his comments that have caused a stir in the area. It's what Will Dance, candidate for Wakulla Sheriff had to say: "There were one or two that...probably more than that, three or four the sort of crossed the line to where we thought we'd better report this and reported it to an investigator in Wakulla County Sheriff's Department."

Dance told commissioners the photo "worried him". Now, threats have been made against the radio host.

His boss, the general manager of Freedom 93.3 FM, says Dance decided to take the day off the air Wednesday because of the threats: "There were one or two that. Probably more than that, three or four the sort of crossed the line to where we thought we'd better report this and reported it to an investigator in Wakulla County Sheriff's Department."
