Wakulla County Longleaf Pine Workshop

WAKULLA COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - The Wakulla County Longleaf Pine Restoration and Management held a workshop Tuesday.

The workshop is geared at teaching private landowners about Longleaf Pine habitat restoration and management.

The workshop was held at the St. Marks Wildlife Refuge, Visitor and Environmental Education Center. It was presented by Apalachicola Regional Stewardship Alliance and Florida Forest Stewardship Program, with support from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and Southern Company.

Partners include U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resource Conservation Service, Florida Forest Service, University of Florida / IFAS, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, The Nature Conservancy, Northwest Florida Water Management District, and National Wild Turkey Federation.
